Mach number

Mach number

           it is the ratio of actual velocity of fluid to the velocity of sound in same field at the same state

1. if Mach number is less than 1 flow 8 subsonic or it is subsonic
2. if Mach number is equal to 1 then flow is called a Sonic or the projectile is called a Sonic
3. if Mach number is greater than 1 and less than 5 that is in between 1 and 5 then flow is called Supersonic
4. if Mach number is greater than 5 flow is called hypersonic or we can call projectile is moving at hypersonic speed
